These lavender spheres were created with craft materials I had on hand. If I were to make them again I would figure out another type of core, since Styrofoam is not biodegradable.

Materials: 3 inch Styrofoam spheres, bamboo skewers, acrylic paint (permanent, water based, fast drying), tacky glue, lavender flowers

Brush paint on the sphere until thoroughly covered. Let dry.

You could try using a felted ball as the core. Apart from being biodegradable/reusable it would absorb the scent of the lavender.
